As an immigrant, I have personally felt the drawbacks of isolation- not speaking a language or not understanding a culture. Often, many PWID's experience sociocultural isolation and I can relate to this intimately. Additionally, there is a long history of drug use in my family, enabling a deeper understanding of addiction and the necessary harm reduction. I began volunteering with IDEA in April of 2022 and am now staffed as of 2023!
